MetaChat is the chat inside MetaWhisp that knows your dictations, meetings, tasks and notes. Ask what you promised Sam or what a call decided, and it answers from your own words. Ask it to remind you, and it creates the task once you confirm, with a minute to undo.

MetaChat is an AI chat that answers from what you have recorded with MetaWhisp: your dictations, meeting transcripts and summaries, the tasks you promised and the ones you are waiting on, memories about people and projects, and your goals. Two sources are yours to add: with Screen Context on it can use text from windows you had open in the last 24 hours, and it can use the Markdown, text and RTF files in folders you index. You can type a question, or keep Right ⌘ down for half a second and speak it. It runs on the free local model when you turn that on, keeping everything on your Mac; otherwise with an OpenAI or Cerebras key of your own, or through Pro without any key. With Pro it also finds things by meaning, not only by the exact words.

Ask MetaChat to add a task, mark one done, remember a fact or forget one, and it shows you what it is about to do first. Nothing changes until you press Yes, do it. Changed your mind afterwards? Undo stays available for 60 seconds. It takes at most five actions a minute, and it never sends a message, books anything or touches other apps.
Anything about what you have said and planned: what was decided in a meeting, what you promised someone, what is still open, what you noted about a person or project. It answers from your dictations, meeting transcripts, tasks, memories, goals and projects.
It has no connection to your mail or chat accounts. If you turn on Screen Context, text from windows you had open in the last 24 hours can inform its answers, and you choose which apps that may include.

Yes. In the default toggle mode, hold Right ⌘ for half a second and ask. With Screen Context on, it also sees the window in front of you. The answer can be read aloud: macOS voices on any plan, six natural voices with Pro.
