MetaWhisp takes notes on your calls without adding a bot to them. It records your microphone and the sound your Mac plays, on the Mac itself, so nothing joins the meeting and nobody sees a new participant. It recognizes calls in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime, Webex, GoTo, Slack huddles and Discord, and Google Meet or Teams in a browser tab; macOS asks for Screen Recording permission to capture the other side. Turn on auto-start and recording begins when a calendar meeting starts or when a call window stays in front for ten seconds, after a five-second countdown you can cancel. The transcript keeps your voice apart from everyone else’s, and when the call ends MetaWhisp writes a summary with the decisions and the action items. During the call it can show one suggestion at a time. The transcript is free and stays on your Mac on the Free plan; the summary and the suggestions run on a free local model, your own OpenAI or Cerebras key, or Pro.

When a dictation conversation ends, or a meeting stops, it pulls out the promises: say “I’ll send the deck tomorrow” and it becomes your task. When you hand something off, say “I asked Sam to send it”, it goes to Waiting On, so you can see what other people owe you. Tell MetaChat that something is done and it closes the task, after you confirm. With Screen Context on, it also notices tasks on your screen and keeps the few that matter at the top of the list.
