Your meeting starts, and MetaWhisp can start with it. When you press Stop, the call is transcribed on your Mac and saved under the event’s name, and a recap lists what was decided and who does what next. No bot, no upload on the Free plan, nothing to remember to press.

For meeting transcription on a Mac, MetaWhisp records the call from your own computer rather than joining it. With Meeting Recording, Auto-detect calls and Auto-start turned on, a calendar event starting, or a call app kept in front for ten seconds, brings up a five-second countdown before recording begins, and you can cancel it. MetaWhisp records your microphone as Me and your Mac’s sound as Them. After Stop the recording is turned into text locally on the Free plan, as often as you like, and saved with the calendar event’s name; with Pro it is transcribed in the cloud and uses Pro minutes once, by length. With an AI model set up, a recap with decisions, action items and next steps arrives a few seconds later for meetings longer than a minute, and the tasks in it land in your task list. An auto-started recording stops by itself after three minutes of silence or four hours.
